MOXIBUSTION

Moxibustion
, “moxa”: Mugwort ( artemisia vulgaris ) is an herb which is dried and then burned in order to gently warm points over the skin.  This has the effect of both strengthening and relaxing the body, and is used to relieve pain such as arthritis, menstrual discomfort, and to promote circulation in cases of neuropathy or numbness of the extremities. Moxibustion can also successfully facilitate the turning of a malpositioned “breech” fetus, typically starting at/after 33 weeks of pregnancy.
